SAR-GEL ® water indicating paste provides a fast, reliable way to detect water bottoms in storage tanks containing gasoline, gasoline/ethanol blends up to 15%, diesel, jet fuel, fuel oil, biodiesel, solvents and other materials. White paste turns blue on contact with water 1 oz tube.
A thin layer of indicating paste is applied to a gauge stick prior to placing the stick into the storage tank liquid. Observe the color of the paste upon the removal of the gauge stick to determine the presence of water or gasoline.
